What materials are your products made of – and how do I dispose of them properly?

At Jean&Len, we care not only about what’s inside our products, but also about the packaging. 🌿
Our packaging is made of glass, plastic, or a combination of both – depending on what makes the most sense for each product.

♻️ Why not everything in glass?
Glass is great – and we use it intentionally, for example in our serums or Hand & Body Washes in glass bottles. 💧✨
But: Glass is heavier, which means higher CO₂ emissions during transport. And in certain situations (bathroom, shower, kids…) it can be risky if something breaks. That’s why we carefully consider each product: What’s safe, practical AND as eco-friendly as possible?

🌱 Did you know? Some of our packaging contains recycled material!
In various product categories – like sun care and body products – we use packaging that includes recycled plastic (recyclate).
This gives used materials a second life and helps conserve resources. ♻️✨
Our goal: Switch more and more packaging to recyclate – while keeping things stylish, durable, and hygienic. 💪💛

🧼 How to dispose of our packaging properly:
Serums (e.g. Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid)
✅ Glass bottle → Glass recycling bin
🧪 Pipette (plastic + glass + rubber):
– Unscrew the rubber top → Yellow bin (plastic waste)
– 💡 Optional: Carefully break the glass part and add it to glass recycling
⚠️ Please be careful – use a cloth or gloves to avoid injury!

⚠️ These are made of heat-resistant special glass – not suitable for regular glass recycling!
🚫 Do not dispose of in the glass bin!
✅ Discard in general waste – or get creative and upcycle (e.g. as tealight holders or home decor) 🕯️✨

Plastic packaging (e.g. shampoo, shower gel, body lotion)
✅ Tubes & bottles → Yellow bin (plastic waste)
🔧 Unscrew the pump and dispose of it separately

✅ Glass bottle → Glass recycling bin
🧢 Cap & ball (plastic) → Yellow bin
⚠️ Be careful when removing the ball – use a spoon or cloth to avoid injury!
